Memberships
SunWatch is operated by the Dayton Society of Natural History. A Membership to the Dayton Society of Natural History costs just $69* for one year and includes admission to SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park, the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, free or discounted admission to many special events, programs or classes at these two museums, reciprocal or discounted admission to hundreds of museums in Ohio and around the United States***, and 10% off purchases in the SunWatch and the Boonshoft Museum shops. One visit for a family of four to SunWatch would cost $16* and to the Boonshoft Museum would cost $31*, for a total of $47*. One visit to each museum in a year plus a visit to at least one of the museums that offer reciprocal admission would make a membership a good family investment and allow you the opportunity to visit many exciting museums around the country without overstretching your budget.

A family membership is defined as 2 adults living in the same household and their dependent children under the age of 18, or their grandchildren under the age of 18. A caregiver (babysitter or nanny) may also use the membership when accompanying member children. Membership privileges do not apply to daycare facilities or providers.

For more information or to purchase a membership to the Dayton Society of Natural History contact SunWatch.

* Admission fees to SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park and the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, as well as membership prices for the Dayton Society of Natural History, are subject to change without notice; check www.sunwatch.org or www.boonshoftmuseum.org for current prices.
** This free rate applies to family general admissions only. All homeschool/pre-school/daycare or other organizations that come as a group with children 5 & under will be charged a reduced rate of $2.50 per child. For guided group tours children 5 and under are subject to the regular guided tour admission fees see our Group Tours page for information on these fees.
*** SunWatch and the Boonshoft Museum are members of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) and have reciprocal relationships with other members. For a current list of ASTC members and their reciprocal admission policies visit www.astc.org/about/membership/passlist.htm. Due to the fact that the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery also has a live animal exhibit they are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and we also maintain reciprocal relationships with many members of that organization. For a current list of AZA accredited Zoos and Aquariums visit their website at http://www.aza.org/Accreditation/ and inquire with each institution concerning their reciprocal admission policies.
